I grew up in Republic, Missouri; then moved to Michigan when I was 15. I graduated high school in 2005 and immediately started college at Central Michigan University. After five degree changes, I finally graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Fitness in May 2010. I am currently studying to become a Certified Health Fitness Specialist. I have always been active in sports and exercise regularly, and it has always been a passion to help others so naturally it made sense to put the two together. I am now working as a wellness coach and a personal trainer and I seriously love my job. My job allows me to interact with others and help them reach their goals and achieve their dreams, and at the same time it keeps me motivated to tackle my own goals and dreams.
I met the man of my dreams in October 2008, we became engaged in October 2009, and were married in October 2010. Brent is amazing and I cannot put into words how much I love him or what he means to me. We’ve been through rough times together, and experienced great times. We’ve seen each other at our worst and we bring out the best in one another. He is so supportive of me in every way and is always by my side. I do believe that I am the luckiest girl, ever.
We met the love of our lives on November 3, 2010 when our daughter Emmeline was born. She came two weeks early, but was very healthy (aside from being a little jaundice and having a low weight). She definitely has us wrapped around her little finger already and we love her more than anything. Parenting has been an interesting journey thus far, and now that she is a toddler I am so excited to see what the next few years bring.
I started this blog as a way to chronicle my pregnancy so our friends and families could follow in our journey, however this blog has become a much bigger passion of mine. I love writing about our adventures in parenting, sharing recipes and craft ideas, and tracking my fitness so I have a way to go back and view it whenever I want. Now that I am a mother to a toddler, a fitness employee, and still a homemaker when I have time I have less time to write but the passion is still there, and the purpose of this blog is to share my passion.
